Tour du Mont Blanc - Hiking Expedition

Two weeks, three countries, hiking hut-to-hut along the famous Tour du Mont Blanc. Hock invites you and family and friends to join him in the Alps at a steady yet comfortable pace through a region of uncompromising beauty and charm.

​

Hikers will begin their journey just downvalley of Chamonix, France. From there, they proceed along Alpine trails, past towering glaciers and alongside glistening streams, hiking between eight and eleven miles per day with the comfort of carrying only the essentials. Lazy evenings are spent relaxing over a cold drink and a hearty traditional meal from rustic mountain huts while resting for the next day’s journey.

Half Tour Option: Those opting to complete half of the tour will end their trek after the first week of hiking with a relaxing day off in the mountain town of Courmayeur, Italy.

Modified Itinerary Option (Half Tour Only): We are now offering a modified itinerary. Those who opt in will stay at all the same huts and hotels along the TMB as they complete the Half Tour option. However, instead of hiking the complete trail, these individuals will travel to trailheads by taxi, bus and sometimes cable car, hiking shorter routes to the night’s accommodations. Those who choose to follow the modified itinerary must make their choice known upon registration. There is an additional $500 fee to cover the added costs of transportation, town lunches, and lift tickets.

For those of you who dream of mountain vistas and twisting trails, our Tour du Mont Blanc provides you with a genuine mountain hiking experience with the comfort of good food and a cozy bed each night. Whether looking for an adventurous family getaway or yearning to stretch your own legs with a new challenge, this is a fantastic way to share great company and new experiences. Participants should be physically prepared for consistent days of hiking 7 - 11 miles with up to 5,000 feet of ascent each day.

Program Tuition: 

Full Tour Full Package Rate: $4,700 + airfare 

Half Tour Full Package Rate: $2,750+ airfare

 

Includes:

• Program accommodation, including mix of private rooms and dorimitory-style lodging in remote alpine huts 

• All dinners and breakfasts, and lunches as specific in trip itinerary 

• Transportation to and from airport 

• Mountain rescue insurance 

• Year-long Alpine Club Membership 

• Trekking permits and services

Participants are asked to arrange for travel to Geneva, Switzerland and back.
