RLC Robotics in Place

Week 1: June 16  – June 22, 2019

Week 2: June 23 – June 29, 2019

Join us for a week of robotics engineering and design challenges, rooted in and around life on our mountain farm.

Over the course of the week, you and your peers will immerse yourselves in a diverse range of activities inspired by our mountain campus, including helping out on the farm, hiking in the High Peaks Wilderness, and swimming in Round Lake. When not engaged in farm life, you will take on a series of engineering challenges. The theme of each challenge will be inspired by life here at Round Lake Campus, including the farm, garden, mountain trails, and facilities. You’ll learn and practice skills in programming, working with your team to design creative solutions using Lego Mindstorm EV3 robots and the Lego Mindstorm programming platform. Stretch your brain, learn to work collaboratively with your team, and then put your robots to work in real-world applications on the farm!

Students will share rooms in our lakeside Eileen Rockefeller House and enjoy fresh meals prepared with fresh ingredients from our farm.
