Welcome

International students ages 9-12 are welcome to apply for our summer English Language and Immersion Program (ELIP). Our masters level teachers, small class size, and summer camp activities with American peers provide an exceptional opportunity to improve English language proficiency.  Our program is appropriate for students seeking a first educational experience in the U.S., as well as students preparing for ongoing study at American boarding schools.

A unique element of our program is Design Thinking. Students work with American peers to solve engineering problems and may utilize 3D printing, woodworking, computer science, or robotics. For instance, we are developing a bucket washing tool for our innovative food composting system.  

Eligibility 
Students must have basic fluency in conversational English and submit one recently graded English composition. Candidates are required to share their school transcripts and school's grading system. Level placement is determined by a diagnostic test administered on the first day of classes.

 

We strongly recommend a TOEFL or TOEFL Junior test before applying.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis starting December 1, 2019. To provide the highest program quality, we limit participation to 18 international boarding students and 18 domestic day students. Before December 1, 2019 you may inquire below:
