ADK Unplugged: Northville Placid Trail
Tuesday, Jul 24 - Tuesday, Aug 7, 2018
High peaks and forested valleys. Endless stars and pristine lakes. Loons calling throughout the night. Explore true wildness via the 130+ mile Northville Placid Trail, starting in the southern end of the Adirondack Park and ending in Lake Placid. Heading out unplugged, with no cell phones, participants will hike through what many consider the wildest and most remote parts of the Park, notably the high plateau that encompasses the West Canada Lakes Wilderness area, along with that of the Cold River. Led by NCS teacher Elie Rabinowitz and Corbett Wicks.
Tuition: $1,800. Limit: 6. Group specific gear (i.e. tent, food, cooking supplies) will be supplied while clothing, personal items, sleeping pad/bag, and a suitable backpack are required for each participant.
